I’m Abby, a passionate advocate for human rights and wellness, specializing in crisis counseling, wellness, education, collaborative problem-solving, and bringing people together. Born in the United States, my work spans across the globe, leading wellness workshops, ESL education, and digital accessibility, always focusing on supporting diverse, at-risk populations.
With my degree in Integrated Social Sciences from the University of Washington, I’ve been trained in strategic planning, conflict resolution, collaborative problem solving, and curriculum development. I am committed to creating inclusive, accessible environments, and enjoy a creative challenge. My passion for growth and learning has led me to attend lectures, learn from diverse perspectives, take ongoing early morning conversational Spanish Lessons, earn several certifications, and travel the world. This education, combined with real-world experience as a Crisis Resolution Specialist, allows me to handle complex interpersonal dynamics and facilitate meaningful dialogue.
I enjoy exploring the complexities of what it means to be human, and am a strong advocate for human rights. My personal background has helped me understand systemic oppression and apply intersectionality in process design, predicting how different solutions impact various groups within systems of oppression and power. Intersectionality is always relevant and important in any design, be it in regards to climate change, education systems, workers rights, policy, and beyond.
