I'm Abby, a dedicated and experienced yoga teacher with a mission to make yoga accessible and inclusive for everyone. Since 2018, I've been offering both online and in-person yoga sessions in Malaysia and the United States. My interest in yoga began as a personal journey to manage migraines and albinism, leading me to explore the profound benefits yoga offers.
I took my first ever yoga teacher training in Thailand during a school break, after being an avid yoga student for years. This experience led me to transition my background in school teaching to yoga teaching. Today, I've completed more than 10 yoga teacher trainings, most of them based in India. I truly love learning, and believe in bringing my students the best up to date practices.
I specialize in a variety of yoga styles, including yoga for office workers, trauma-informed yoga, vinyasa yoga, and prenatal yoga. My teaching philosophy centers around integration, which I believe is essential for true accessibility and inclusion. One of my most cherished offerings is Visually Integrated Yoga, where blind, visually impaired, and sighted students practice together in one class.
I believe that to practice yoga is to practice liberation, as yoga is a journey of union within oneself. Part of the journey of union of the mind body and soul is being kind to ourselves, such as with the yogic practice of ahimsa. I am deeply committed to helping to break down barriers of social stigmas, internalised preconceptions, and more through shared understanding and integrated practice on and off the mat. When I'm not teaching yoga, I work as a trauma and crisis counsellor and digital accessibility advocate.
Join me in creating a supportive, inclusive yoga community where everyone can experience the transformative power of yoga. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced practitioner, my classes are designed to meet you where you are and support your individual journey.
